Neco Williams will not leave for Feyenoord for the time being, it is reported Sky Sports Monday. The 23-year-old right back from Nottingham Forest is not allowed to leave his club for the time being. Feyenoord hoped to rent the 37-time Wales international from the Premier League club, but seems to have to look for an alternative to Williams.

Nottingham Forest is not interested in renting Williams at the moment, as full-backs Ola Aina (Nigeria) and Serge Aurier (Ivory Coast) are participating in the African Cup. The situation can only change if: the Tricky Trees gets one of these defenders back early.

At the City Ground, Williams has to tolerate the Argentinian world champion Gonzalo Montiel, which is why real estate agency Wasserman decided on a temporary transfer for their client. Nottingham Forest now seems to be putting a stop to that.

The right winger still has a contract with Nottingham Forest until mid-2026 and represents according to the renowned Transfer market a market value of 17 million euros. A permanent transfer of the Welshman to Feyenoord is therefore not an option in any case.

Williams has been under contract with Forest since the summer of 2022, which took him over from Liverpool for a fee of around 20 million euros. Bee the Reds the full-back went through the youth academy before making his debut in Liverpool's main squad in 2019.
