Latest update:

AFC Bournemouth hopes to reach an agreement with Juventus as soon as possible regarding a transfer fee for Dean Huijsen, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday morning via X. In the background, VfB Stuttgart is also still in the race for the signature of the nineteen-year-old defender from Amsterdam.

According to Romano, negotiations between Bournemouth and Juventus are going smoothly, because the English are pushing for a quick deal. The club management and manager Andoni Iraola have an important reason for this.

The Cherries have namely gotten wind of the interest from Stuttgart, who have now also made an offer for Huijsen. For now, it seems that the youth international of Spain will continue his career in England.

Huijsen, who was previously linked to Paris Saint-Germain and VfL Wolfsburg, should earn Juventus around 25 million euros. In Turin, the 1.97-meter defender is still on contract until mid-2028. Transfer market estimates his market value at 10 million euros.

Juventus wants to sell Huijsen as soon as possible, so that money becomes available for the incoming transfers of Jean-Clair Todibo (OGC Nice) and Oranje international Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta). In addition to Huijsen, Wojciech Szczesny, Mattia De Sciglio, Daniele Rugani and Matias Soulé may also look for a new employer.

At Bournemouth, Huijsen can play in defense with former Feyenoord player Marcos Senesi (27), who has an important role under Iraola. With Ilya Zabarnyi (21), the English club also has another talented defender under contract.
