Dean Huijsen will continue his career at Bournemouth, Fabrizio Romano reported on Thursday. The Premier League club has reached an agreement with Juventus on a transfer fee of eighteen million euros and a five-year contract is ready for the nineteen-year-old defender.

All wrinkles have been ironed out and all parties have agreed on the terms of the deal. Only the medical examination, which will take place later this week, still stands in the way of a definitive transfer.

Bournemouth will transfer a fixed transfer fee of fifteen million euros to Juventus, which could increase to eighteen million euros through bonuses. The Old Lady has also managed to negotiate a resale percentage of unknown height.

Huijsen was previously linked to VfB Stuttgart, Paris Saint-Germain and VfL Wolfsburg. In Turin, the 1.97-meter defender was still contracted until mid-2028. Transfer market estimates its market value at around 10 million euros.

Juventus had to sell Huijsen as soon as possible, so that money would be freed up for the incoming transfers of Jean-Clair Todibo (OGC Nice) and Oranje international Teun Koopmeiners (Atalanta). In addition to Huijsen, Wojciech Szczesny, Mattia De Sciglio, Daniele Rugani and Matias Soulé may also look for a new employer.

At Bournemouth, Huijsen can play in defense with former Feyenoord player Marcos Senesi (27), who plays an important role under manager Andoni Iraola. With Ilya Zabarnyi (21), the English club also has another talented defender under contract.

Huijsen will be the fourth most expensive Dutch teenager ever. Only Matthijs de Ligt (85.5 million euros), Bart Verbruggen (20 million) and Ryan Gravenberch (18.5 million) were paid more. Arjen Robben left PSV for Chelsea in 2004 for 18 million euros. Incidentally, Huijsen was born in Amsterdam, but he recently decided to play his international matches for Spain.
