The 32-year-old center defender invited several Dutch football players to the wedding in Como, which is located in the north of Italy. Denzel Dumfries and Davy Klaassen, his teammates at Inter, were invited, among others.

Fellow internationals Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt also traveled to Italy with their loved ones Annekee Molenaar and Mikky Kiemeney.
