Matthijs de Ligt will not play against Ukraine, Frank de Boer announced on Saturday afternoon to the NOS. The 21-year-old center defender of Juventus has not recovered sufficiently from his groin injury and is not part of the the Dutch squad. De Boer also reveals that Maarten Stekelenburg is under the bar.

A week ago, during the the Dutch training camp in Faro, Porguese, De Ligt sustained an injury to his groin. The mandekker then trained individually for several days and then only participated in parts of the group training. De Ligt estimated the chance that he could play against Ukraine on Sunday at sixty percent.
