Henk de Jong reveals swear word for which he received a red card
A dramatic Saturday evening for SC Cambuur visiting RKC Waalwijk. Besides the shameful 5-1 defeat, there were red cards for Mees Hoedemakers, Alex Bangura and trainer Henk de Jong. The losing coach revealed afterwards that he had said ‘weak LUL’ to referee Sander van der Eijk, who, on the advice of VAR Bas Nijhuis, gave a penalty to RKC after an unfortunate handball by Jamie Jacobs.

‘Excellent’ Depay is appreciated: ‘Critical role in the vanguard of Barcelona’
Nothing but praise in the Spanish newspapers for Memphis Depay, who graced his base place at Barcelona with a nice goal and an assist. Partly due to the contribution of the the Dutch international, Elche easily won 3-0. Depay has been described in the media in Spain as ‘indispensable’ at the forefront of Barcelona. The question is whether trainer Xavi will continue to have faith in his attacker after the international match.

Very questionable decision by Makkelie causes incomprehension and anger’
Danny Makkelie gave a penalty to Sparta Rotterdam in the final phase, although Tobias Lauritsen did not seem to be hit by Mike te Wierik. Still, Makkelie decided to point to the dot. The VAR then took the guide to the screen to take another good look, but that did not help. Makkelie stuck to his decision, Groningen was furious and Vito van Crooij decided the game: 2-1.

Sneijder fears the early exit of the Dutch and has a message for the Netherlands
Wesley Sneijder is not so optimistic about the chances of the Dutch national team at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar. Sneijder therefore asks the Dutch people to remain realistic. “There is a lot of positivity in the Netherlands around the Dutch national team and everyone is talking about becoming world champions, but what is that based on?” asks the former midfielder.

Marco Reus crying and by brand card from the field: World Cup on the way again
Marco Reus may have to put an end to a final tournament again. The 33-year-old Borussia Dortmund captain ran in the first half of the Kohlenpottderby against Schalke 04 suffered an apparently serious ankle injury, which seems to put the World Cup in danger. Reus hurt his ankle and was then visibly shaken with tears in his eyes and carried off the field by firecard.
