Cristiano Ronaldo has to make adjustments to his penthouse in Lisbon, media in Portugal report. The Juventus attacker has been given 15 days to destroy a gazebo, a semi-open garden shed, which he has built on the roof of the building. If he does not want to cooperate, Ronaldo must appeal to the Lisbon city council and the deadline can be set according to TVI 24 be postponed for thirty days.

Ronaldo does not own the entire building, but does own the apartment on the top floor. The penthouse is worth 7.6 million euros. When building such a building, the municipality gives permission for its exact height. The expansion made by Ronaldo may therefore violate local regulations. Portuguese architect José Mateus, whose company designed the building, is disgusted by the gazebo and threatened legal action a few months ago.

“The disrespect for our work, our architecture, is despicable. There was no permission from architects, neighbors or the municipality,” Mateus told the Portuguese press a few months ago. “The admiration and respect I had for Ronaldo, a great and inspiring athlete and an example of whom I have often told my children, has been shattered. There is such a thing as culture, rules, respect for the work of others and civility. I don’t accept that those principles are thrown overboard.”

“I have often enjoyed Ronaldo’s work. But now he has scored an own goal, a goal that is forever engraved in me: in my architecture and in my contempt,” said Mateus. He was subsequently called ‘retarded’ by Elma Alveiro, Ronaldo’s sister. “Do more important and interesting things,” she snapped in a social media post.
