Galatasaray narrowly won on Monday evening in the Turkish Süper Lig. Fatih Terim’s team gave away the opening goal against Hatayspor in a crazy way and only got over it two minutes before the end: 2-1. Patrick van Aanholt started in the starting line-up at Galatasaray and was substituted after 66 minutes, while Ryan Babel was brought in at that moment.

The match got off to a false start for Galatasaray, who fell behind clumsily in the third minute. Because both debutant Victor Nelsson and Christian Luyindama slipped away, Saba Lobjanidze was able to open the score for Hatayspor from close range: 0-1. After half an hour Galatasaray equalized. Alexandru Cicaldau aimed for the post from close range, after which Sofiane Feghouli finished off in the rebound. The great pressure from the home team resulted in the winning goal of Luyindama two minutes before the end, who headed in from a cross from Ömer Bayram: 2-1.
