Bayern Munich is going to work on bringing in Harry Kane, Florian Plettenberg reports Monday evening. The transfer market expert of the German branch of Sky Sports announces that the 29-year-old striker has indicated to Bayern’s club management that he would like to make the switch from Tottenham Hotspur, while internally they are currently discussing the steps to bring in the Englishman. The Record Master hopes to sign Kane for a total transfer fee of less than a hundred million euros.

Plettenberg speaks of a ‘difficult deal’ for the time being, but he reveals that Kane has now announced that Bayern is his preferred destination. After the positive sound of the striker himself, the club management proceeded to internal consultation to map out the next steps. They reportedly do not want to pay more than a hundred million euros, but the policymakers are ‘positive’ about the chances of success of the top transfer.

Recently reported, among other things The Telegraph that Manchester United was also interested in Kane’s services, but manager Erik ten Hag’s club now seems to have dropped out. The total cost package would be too much, the British quality newspaper indicated. Ten Hag would be disappointed in the transfer failure, but also understand that there are limits. Kane has a contract in North London until mid-2024, which means that Tottenham would have to sell his all-time top scorer this summer to earn some money from him.

In addition to Bayern Munich and Manchester United, Real Madrid was also mentioned as a possible destination for Kane at an earlier stage. Meanwhile, Madrid’s interest seems to have cooled somewhat, not least because President Florentino Pérez hopes to take over Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain. Like Kane, the Frenchman will be with his club until mid-2024 and has announced that he does not want to extend his contract in Paris.
