Lucas Vázquez extends contract with Real Madrid, entering eighteenth year of contract
The marriage between Lucas Vázquez and Real Madrid is set to continue for the time being. The 33-year-old winger, who has been at the Santiago Bernabéu since 2007, has extended his expiring contract by one year, the club confirmed.
In his nine years with the first team, Vázquez has already collected 349 official appearances. The Spaniard scored 36 times. Vázquez enjoys a changing role at Real, as he usually swings between bench and starting line-up. Last season he made it to 38 matches.

Thiago will do an internship at Barcelona

Hansi Flick has temporarily added Thiago Alcántara to his staff at FC Barcelona. The 33-year-old midfielder, who recently announced his retirement from football, will gain experience as a coach at his old love in Catalonia. Thiago will normally stay on for the entire pre-season. Whether a permanent contract with Barcelona is in the cards is not yet known.

Nick van der Velden to Castellón
AZ and CD Castellón have reached an agreement on Nick van der Velden. According to The Telegraph the Alkmaarders will receive tens of thousands of euros from the Spanish club. The 42-year-old coaching talent, who was in charge of AZ Under 16 last season, will be added to the staff of Dutch coach Dick Schreuder and his assistant Johan Plat.
