The Classic between Feyenoord and Ajax came to a standstill in the first minute on Wednesday evening. Feyenoord supporters set off massive fireworks after the start signal from referee Allard Lindhout, resulting in an enormous smoke development. The referee had no choice but to stop the game after 23 seconds. The players stayed on the field and kept warm by playing the ball around. After a few minutes the game could be resumed.

That they can take all those fireworks inside, that’s really bizarre. Do they really have to do something about it at Feyenoord. Trauner was almost hit. Ridiculous. #feyaja pic.twitter.com/nWyxQuKX54
