Christian Eriksen is in “no rush” to make a decision on where he will play next season, Manchester United's Danish midfielder is quoted as saying by the BBC.

Eriksen is out of contract at Old Trafford next year. The 32-year-old international does not seem to have to count on a starting spot with Erik ten Hag next season and therefore the necessary rumours have been circulating for some time.

English football journalist Sam Cohen wrote that Ajax would be interested in renting the creative midfielder. So far, that news has not been picked up by other, more reputable media outlets.

Also the BBC took note of the rumors going around about Eriksen. “In recent weeks there have been rumors about a possible return of Eriksen to Ajax,” the quality newspaper refers to that 'news'.

“But Eriksen is in no hurry to make important decisions about his future,” the medium assures. Eriksen is 'very happy' in Manchester, the Dane lets slip to BBC-journalist Simon Stone.

“I've had two very good years here and am now entering my third season. This is a special club and a special city. Moreover, my family feels at home here, so I'm in no hurry at all,” said the former Ajax midfielder.

“Of course I want to play as much as possible and do everything I can,” Eriksen continued. “But that has nothing to do with the club, that's between you and the manager. I feel very good here at Manchester United.”
