Real Madrid will face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. The draw showed this on Friday afternoon. The first matches will take place on Tuesday 9 and Wednesday 10 April, the returns a week later: on 16 and 17 April.

Most eyes will be on the match between Real Madrid and Manchester City. The Madrilenians first play at home, after which the Etihad Stadium will be the location where the return will be played a week later.

Borussia Dortmund, which eliminated PSV in the eighth finals, will face Memphis Depay's Atlético Madrid. The other German club still active in the billion-dollar ball, Bayern Munich, will face Arsenal.

Finally, FC Barcelona is linked to Paris Saint-Germain. At that meeting, thoughts will go back to 2017. PSG won 4-0 at home against the Catalans in the eighth finals. The diptych seemed to have already been decided, but Barça staged an incredible comeback at home, winning 6-1.

Real Madrid – Manchester City
Paris Saint Germain – FC Barcelona

During the draw it was also immediately announced which clubs could meet each other in the semi-finals. The winner of Atlético Madrid – Borussia Dortmund will compete against the winner of Paris Saint-Germain – FC Barcelona.

The second semi-final will consist of the winner of Arsenal – Bayern Munich against the winner of Real Madrid – Manchester City.

Champions League semi-finals:

Atlético/Dortmund – PSG/Barcelona
Arsenal/Bayern – Real/Man City

The semi-finals will take place on April 30 and May 1 (first matches) and May 7 and April 8 (returns). The final will then take place at Wembley on Saturday 1 June.
