The match in the play-offs of the Europa League between Celtic and AZ can only be seen on Wednesday evening for a fee. The Scottish top club is a rights holder and has decided not to sell the images in the Netherlands to ESPN, which showed serious interest. For 9.99 pounds, converted almost twelve euros, the match can be viewed online on the Celtic website.

ESPN explains to AZ Fanpage have made serious efforts to be allowed to broadcast the match. “The broadcasting rights for the qualifiers of the Europa and Conference League are in the hands of the home club,” explains the Dutch pay channel. “We would like to broadcast the Celtic – AZ match and have made every effort to get the rights.”

“Unfortunately, rights holder Celtic have made a different choice and are offering the match online for a fee,” ESPN said. That means the match can only be seen on Celtic’s official website. The match kicks off in Glasgow on Wednesday evening at 8.45pm. Fifteen minutes later, PSV kicks off in Lisbon against Benfica in the context of the play-offs of the Champions League. That match can be seen in the Netherlands on RTL7.
