Carlos Vinicius has definitively left PSV for an employment with Fulham in the Premier League. The English club officially announced the transfer on Thursday evening. In London, the Brazilian striker has signed a contract that will keep him tied to Fulham until mid-2025, while the club has an option for another season. Fulham reportedly transfers five million euros to Benfica, which has definitively terminated the lease with PSV. The amount can increase to eleven million euros through bonuses.

Vinicius said on the club’s website that he was happy with his return to the Premier League, having already played at the highest level in England with Tottenham Hotspur. “I’m happy to be back in the Premier League. Fulham is a big club with good people, so I’m very happy here. I now have more experience and I think I can help the club.”

Ruud van Nistelrooij indicated in mid-August that he did not want to leave. “I was talking about adding people this morning and don’t want to lose them,” said the PSV coach. “Carlos is someone we really like to keep.” PSV could have received fifty percent of its rights for ten million euros, but given Vinicius’ performance, the Eindhoven players were not planning to take the option.

Vinicius made 38 official appearances for PSV, in which he scored seven times and provided seven assists. The ex-player of Tottenham, among others, had competition in the striker position, especially from Luuk de Jong, so that the chance of a lot of playing time was small. Vinicius had to contend with a muscle tear last season and had to miss a large number of games for that reason.
