Jerdy Schouten will definitely not leave for Borussia Dortmund this summer, the German branch of Sky Sport. The controlling midfielder of PSV was on the list of the losing Champions League finalist for some time, but can no longer count on Dortmund making an offer for him in Eindhoven.

There has been regular contact between Dortmund and Schouten's management in recent weeks. In addition, trainer Nuri Sahin is very charmed by the Oranje international. However, PSV is asking for more than thirty million euros for Schouten and that is BVB simply too much.

Club watcher Rik Elfrink of the Eindhoven Daily Newspaper recently gave a telling signal about Schouten. “Schouten really shouldn't leave for about 25 million and that is an amount that not many clubs pay for a player of his position.” The PSV watcher thinks more of an amount between 40 and 50 million euros.

Elfrink also expressed the expectation that PSV will soon sit down with Schouten to discuss a contract extension.
