The young attacker took BILD The recent farewell to his teammates from Leipzig and Brobbey gave extra nourishment to the rumors about a return to Ajax, when the striker showed on his Instagram story that he was in Amsterdam-Zuidoost at that time.
Ajax would like to include an option to buy in the lease, but the Germans proved unwilling to do so, so that a definitive transfer of Brobbey will be discussed at the earliest next summer. We are now waiting for an official announcement from the clubs. The attacker, who signed a contract with Leipzig until mid-2025 last summer, has made fourteen appearances for the German club in recent months.

At Ajax, Brobbey will compete with Sébastien Haller, so far good for 20 goals in 23 matches in all competitions this season. However, the striker will play the African Cup with Ivory Coast and will miss the difficult matches with FC Utrecht and PSV, among other things.
