Besiktas narrowly failed to save three important ones in the city derby against Istanbul Basaksehir. Coach Fernando Santos' team was on its way to victory for a long time thanks to a goal from Omar Colley, until Emirhan Ilkhan, ex-Besiktas, signed for the 1-1 final score in minute 95. The draw puts fourth-placed Besiktas five points clear of third-placed Trabzonspor.

Particularities:

The first moment belonged to Basaksehir, who came close to scoring in the person of Josef de Souza. However, Mert Günok made a great save and saw his team take the lead after fifteen minutes. Semih Kiliçsoy brought the ball to the far post, where Colley tapped in: 0-1. Both teams had chances in the first half, but Krzysztof Piatek, among others, was not focused enough. The Pole headed just wide.

Shortly after the start of the second half, Besiktas suffered a setback with the withdrawal of Günok, who was replaced by Ersin Destanoglu. The substitute and his team got away well after an hour when Davidson headed over. On the other hand, Besiktas was also disappointed when Rachid Ghezzal's attempt hit the crossbar. Basaksehir continued to push, but Piatek and Davidson did not have their day. In minute 95 Basaksehir still scored. Ilkhan was Basaksehir's hero by heading home from a free kick: 1-1.
