Bayern Munich qualified for the second round of the DFB-Pokal on Wednesday evening without any problems. The duel with fifth division team Bremer SV ended in no less than 0-12 and with that the first monster victory of the season after only four official duels is already a fact. The meeting should have been played on August 6, but a corona outbreak at the home team caused the game to be postponed.

Bayern did not play in its strongest line-up at the Weser Stadium on Wednesday: Leon Goretzka, Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman and Lucas Hernandez were missing for various reasons. Trainer Julian Nagelsmann also chose not to send his strongest eleven onto the field. Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies and Serge Gnabry took the seats.

Nagelsmann’s team was clearly far too strong for Bremer SV, who were unaffected by the five goals conceded in the first half and stoically kept looking for the attack. However, that had no effect. Eric-Maxim Choupo Motiing shot the ball in the eighth minute from the turn and through the bottom of the crossbar: 0-1. Eight minutes later, a nice combination with Choupo Motiing was the basis of Jamal Musiala’s 0-2.

An own goal by Jan-Luca Warm, after a bet by Musiala, meant the 0-3 and a minute later the completely detached Choupo Motiing was the end station of a counter: 0-4. Ten minutes before the break, the attacker completed his hat-trick with a header: 0-5. In the first minutes after the break it became clear that Bayern was not satisfied with ‘only’ five goals. Malik Tillman scored the 0-6 and in minute 49 Musiala shot the 0-7 in the right corner on a pass from Choupo Motiing.

Leroy Sané also scored a goal in Bremen: after 65 minutes, the attacker tapped the ball at the second post on a pass from Chris Richards. In minute 77, Ugo Nobile considered it necessary to illegally stop the broken through Richards and Bremer SV had to concede four goals in the last ten minutes with ten men. Michael Cuisance, Bouna Sarr and Corentin Tolisso also appeared on the scoreboard, while Choupo Motiing made his fourth of the evening. The attacker prepared a total of three other hits from of the Rekordmeister in front of.
