Noussair Mazraoui has reached an agreement with Bayern Munich, reports La Gazzetta dello Sport† The defender of Ajax, who will run out of his contract after this season, will earn four million a year (including bonuses) at of the Rekordmeister† Barcelona seemed to have the best papers for Mazraoui for a long time, until Bayern launched an offensive at the back.

Journalist Alfredo Pedulla reports that Mazraoui has signed a multi-year contract in Bavaria; however, the exact duration of the commitment is not yet known. The Moroccan already announced in January that he would leave Ajax at the end of the current season. Talks with former director of football affairs Marc Overmars about an extension came to nothing. “I want to take on the adventure,” Mazraoui told ESPN

Soon the names of several interested clubs appeared in the corridors. Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan, among others, would be angling for the signature of the twelve-time Moroccan international. In the end, the battle for Mazraoui’s signature seemed to be between two clubs: Bayern and Barcelona. The latter seemed to have the best credentials for a long time; according to Sport Technical advisor Jordi Cruijff was even in Amsterdam during the Champions League match with Benfica (1-0 loss) to convince Mazraoui.

Mazraoui himself, however, did not want to speak of an agreement yet. “Nothing has been finalized yet, not even nearly,” said the defender opposite RTL 7† Bayern started to report more emphatically in the fight; Sky Deutschland reported that the German record champion had sent a delegation last week for a personal meeting with the 24-year-old Ajax player. However, the television channel said that Mazraoui in Germany could earn an amount of ten million euros per year, which in reality seems to be a lot lower.

‘Transfer from Gravenberch only a matter of time’
Pedulla also reports that it is only a matter of time before the transfer of Mazraouis teammate at Ajax Ryan Gravenberch is confirmed. The journalist claims that the midfielder, whose contract in Amsterdam ends in mid-2023, can earn 4.3 million euros per year, including bonuses. Bayern would have increased the offer for Gravenberch from 25 million to 28 million euros, but Ajax still wants to see 35 million euros. Gravenberch itself has already reached an agreement with the Bayern, reported BILD this week.
