Latest update:

Bayern Munich will soon be strengthening itself with João Palhinha, according to several German and English sources, including Sky SportsThe Portuguese midfielder will earn Fulham more than 50 million euros and will very soon sign a contract until mid-2028.

Bayern seemed to have Palhinha in their pocket last year. The Portuguese flew to Munich, passed his medical and completed all media obligations, but Bayern failed to sign the midfielder before the German transfer deadline.

Florian Plettenberg, journalist for the German Sky Sporthowever, claimed that both parties had reached a verbal agreement after the transfer deadline expired last year, meaning confirmation would be a matter of time.

Now has the record champion well bite. The club will transfer an amount of 51 million to Fulham, plus another 5 million in possible bonuses. Palhinha will then sign a contract until mid-2028.

Palhinha still has to pass the medical examination. At the moment the controlling midfielder is still busy with the European Championship with Portugal. The quarter final against France is on the program on Friday. He could count on a starting place in the last three matches.

If the deal goes through, Palhinha will become Fulham's most expensive outgoing transfer of all time. The Portuguese made a total of 79 appearances for the London club, scoring eight goals.

If Palhinha signs in Munich, he will be the fourth signing for the new season. In February, 13 million euros was paid for left winger Bryan Zaragoza, who came from Granada. Bayern paid 3.4 million euros for right winger Nestory Irankunda (Adelaide United). Hiroki Ito was also acquired from VfB Stuttgart for 23.5 million euros.
