PSV announced the arrival of Adrian Fein this week. The controlling midfielder comes on a rental basis from Bayern Munich and the people of Eindhoven have negotiated a purchase option. According to it Eindhovens Dagblad PSV can take over Fein at the end of the season for an amount of six million euros. The newspaper calls the amount ‘affordable’.

Fein indicated during his presentation in the Philips Stadium on Thursday that he sees the Eredivisie as a competition in which he can develop further. “I think the Eredivisie is very interesting for young players. Young youth internationals play here very early in the professional leagues ”, the German midfielder is quoted by the regional newspaper. “The big matches are broadcast in Germany, but the strength of this competition is not always on our radar. I spoke to a number of Willem II players who used to be my teammates. They have told me that the Eredivisie is strong. ”

Fein is not the only German in the selection at PSV. In recent weeks, technical manager John de Jong has added several German players to trainer Roger Schmidt’s selection. Philipp Max and Timo Baumgartl also spoke enthusiastically about the level here. I will quickly try to learn the language, I feel fit and can immediately join the field ”, said Fein, who before coming to Eindhoven did not know that he was going to play together with Mario Götze.

“That was also a surprise to me, I did not know he was going to play here,” said Fein, who is pleased that he will share the PSV midfield with the player who shot Germany to the world title in 2014. “I was very positively surprised. He’s a great player and is really looking forward to being on the field with him in training and games. ”
