Héctor Bellerín is the brand new right back of Barcelona, the club reported through the official channels on Thursday evening before the transfer deadline expires. Arsenal have canceled the 27-year-old right-back’s contract, paving the way for a return to Barca. Eleven years ago, the Spaniard left Barcelona for an adventure at the GunnersBut now he’s finally home again.
Barcelona has been looking for a right-back in recent months. Various names were mentioned. Juan Foyth, César Azpilicueta, Thomas Meunier and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, among others, have been linked with a move to Catalonia. With Bellerin, the club finally has an option on the right back position alongside Sergi Roberto. The four-time international of Spain also played in LaLiga last season, on a rental basis for Real Betis.

After his transfer from the Catalan youth academy to Arsenal, Bellerin broke through in the main squad of the Londoners. Particularly in his period under Arsene Wenger, his speed was a weapon in the Premier League. In the end, Bellerin made 239 official appearances, nine goals and 29 assists for Arsenal. On a rental basis for Real Betis, Bellerin played 32 games last season, in which he provided five assists.
Arsenal bid farewell to Bellerin in an appropriate manner via the club website.
