Barcelona and Ronald Koeman also won match number two in LaLiga on Thursday evening. Four days after the 4-0 victory over Villarreal, the Catalans also triumphed at Celta de Vigo thanks to another goal from Ansu Fati, who already scored twice against Villarreal, an own goal and a late goal from Sergi Roberto: 0-3. Koeman chose exactly the same eleven as last Sunday against Celta, but had to change his plans when Clément Lenglet took yellow twice before half time. For Celta it is the first home loss against Barcelona after three victories and three draws in the last six visits of the Catalans, who play against Sevilla on Sunday evening.

Just like in the league match with Villarreal, it was Fati who unbalanced the match. The youngster got the ball on the edge of the penalty area from Philippe Coutinho, accelerated and outwitted Iván Villar in the short corner: 0-1. However, Celta reacted well to the early setback and created danger around Neto’s goal area. A few minutes after the 0-1, the goalkeeper had an excellent reaction to a shot by the eighteen-year-old Gabriel Veiga.

Koeman changed his team in two places twenty minutes before the end: Fati and Coutinho made way for Pedri and Trincao. Not much later, Celta was close to a connection goal. First, Neto got in the way of a Nolito goal and then the bar prevented Miguel Baeza from scoring. Also in the remainder of the second half, Nolito continued to cause the most danger for the Galicians, but Neto kept his goal clean for the second game in a row and in extra time the 0-3 of Sergi Roberto fell from a rebound.
