It seems to be restless within the selection of AS Roma. Trainer Jose Mourinho no longer wishes to use Davide Santon, Federico Fazio and Steven Nzonzi, among others, and that decision is rather bad for the three. Corriere dello Sport even reports that Fazio wants to take legal action against Roma and Mourinho.

The 34-year-old Argentine defender, who has started his last year of contract with AS Roma, wants his name to be cleared by the club management, according to the above-mentioned Italian newspaper. The board of the current number three in Serie A is nevertheless not planning to accommodate Fazio, it sounds like. The veteran entered AS Roma on a rental basis in 2016 and was definitively taken over from Tottenham Hotspur a year later for more than three million euros. He was allowed to leave this summer, but a deal with another club was not concluded.

Like Fazio, Santon and Nzonzi were also nominated to turn their backs on AS Roma in the summer transfer window. However, according to technical director Tiago Pinto, their stay does not mean that Mourinho will give them a second chance. The three players will under no circumstances be used by the Portuguese coach again, not even in the event of suspensions and injuries.

Nzonzi, who is also stuck until mid-2022, just like Fazio, will not leave it at that. Corriere dello Sport The French midfielder’s father has urged the Roma leadership to buy out the contract. It is not yet known whether the board of the Romans Nzonzi wants to help. Mourinho’s big cleaning already resulted in Javier Pastore having his contract terminated.
