AZ has received the successor for Marco Bizot, reports The Telegraph. The Alkmaarders have reached an agreement with FC Nordsjaelland about the arrival of Peter Vindahl Jensen. The 23-year-old Dane comes over for an amount of 1.8 million euros and will be medically examined on Sunday.

Vindahl Jensen was already present on Saturday at the opening match of AZ in the Eredivisie against RKC Waalwijk, which was surprisingly lost 1-0. The eight-time youth international has been the first goalkeeper at Nordsjaelland since the beginning of last season. Vindahl Jensen has a total of 55 appearances for the Danish club to his name and has kept a clean sheet 12 times.

AZ was urgently looking for a replacement for Bizot, who was sold to Stade Brest this summer. The Alkmaarders therefore started against RKC with Hobie Verhulst, who came over from Go Ahead Eagles transfer-free last year, under the bar. Vindahl Jensen is AZ’s fourth summer reinforcement. The Eredivisionist previously strengthened himself with Vangelis Pavlidis (Willem II), Sam Beukema (Go Ahead Eagles) and Aslak Fonn Witry (Djurgardens IF).
