Feyenoord will compete in Group E of the group stage of the Champions League against Atlético Madrid, Lazio and Celtic. During the draw, the team from Rotterdam welcomed the opponents via Twitter, and the Madrilenians immediately responded to Feyenoord’s word of welcome. Atlético’s social media team addressed his upcoming opponent in Dutch: “Thank you and we wish you a nice game Feyenoord”, was the response. The group stage of the billion dollar ball starts on Tuesday, September 19 and ends on Wednesday, December 13.
