ASTON Villa midfielder Jack Grealish received his first call-up for England’s senior team.

The 24-year-old Grealish was in the past part of England’s u.21 team when they won the Toulon tournament in 2016 under Gareth Southgate.

The Villa captain is now pairing up with Southgate again for the Three Lions’ upcoming Nations League clashes against Iceland and Denmark on 5 and 8 September respectively.

Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Harry Winks of Tottenham Hotspur have since withdrawn from the group.

The duo’s places are taken by Conor Coady and Ainsley Maitland-Niles.

The disruption of the corona virus panemy coupled with the Euro 2020 tournament being moved to 2021 means Southgate’s troops were last in action in November 2019.
