The first half at Liverpool – Arsenal ended on Sunday evening with a bizarre incident between Andy Robertson and the referee. After the half-time signal, the left back from Liverpool went to get a story from one of the two assistant referees, who wanted nothing to do with it and waved his elbow back wildly. Robertson was hit in the face and left totally stunned. “What is this? I just got punched in the face by the linesman!” Robertson complained to his teammates as he walked away to the dressing room.

The moment was discussed at halftime Sky Sports. Remarkably enough, Roy Keane lashed out hard at the victim. “You know what Robertson is? He’s a big baby,” said the Manchester United club legend. “He shouldn’t concern himself with this complaining. He should concentrate on his defensive work.” Liverpool trailed 1–2 at half-time after goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus. “Liverpool looked like a pub team defensively,” said Keane.
