Arsenal’s new home shirt for the 2021/22 season seems to have already leaked through Footy Headlines. The new jersey of the London club shows a striking number of similarities with the home shirt of Ajax and many supporters of the Gunners and other football fans have now responded via social media. The Arsenal shirt also has a red track with white sides and sleeves in the same color.
On the shirt that the players of Arsenal are wearing this season, the red track is a lot wider than in the new situation. On Twitter in particular, there is some mockery about the leaked home shirt of the number ten in the Premier League: “Maybe we will play just like Ajax if we also look like this in terms of shirt”, someone writes on Twitter. “No European football according to the season, so Arsenal makes us look like Ajax. That way it looks like we are still active in Europe”, another joke on the internet. Arsenal normally comes this summer with a new home and away jersey and probably a third kit as well.

Indeed, it remains to be seen whether Arsenal can be admired on the European stage next year, given the position in the Premier League. With the current tenth place and the fact that there are only eight rounds of play in the Premier League, the team of manager Mikel Arteta seems to be facing a hell of a job. Arsenal can secure a European ticket via the Europa League. The Gunners face Slavia Prague for the first time on Thursday in the quarter finals of the second European tournament.
