Feyenoord will play the away match against Partizan in the eighth finals of the Conference League on Thursday. The injured Bryan Linssen is replaced in the striker by Cyriel Dessers, while Jens Toornstra and Reiss Nelsson also get a chance in the base. Due to suspensions, Feyenoord cannot have Guus Til and Patrik Walemark at their disposal, which means that there is also a basic spot for Jens Toornstra. Queensy Menig is in the base at Partizan. The match starts at 6:45 PM in Belgrade.

Despite the fact that Arne Slot does not have access to Walemark, Alireza Jahanbakhsh disappears from the basic team of Feyenoord. As a right winger, the Iranian has not been able to convince for months and now has to give his place to Nelsson, who is hired from Arsenal. Dessers gets another chance as a striker now that Linssen had to drop out due to a minor injury. Lutsharel Geertruida is preferred as right back to Marcus Pedersen, after it was the other way around against FC Groningen (1-1).

Toornstra was assured of a base place for a long time this season, but was removed from the team by the excellent performing acquisition Fredrik Aursnes. The former is now benefiting from Til’s suspension and is likely to start as the most forward midfielder. Aursnes, together with Orkun Kökçü, guards the control of the center line. Cole Bassett is also not in the selection because he is not registered for the Conference League.
