It doesn’t look like Arjen Robben is already throwing down the towel at FC Groningen. The 36-year old wing attacker was injured against PSV (1-3) on Sunday after only half an hour of play and then left the Hitachi Capital Mobility Stadium deeply disappointed. One day later, however, Robben simply reported back to his employer.

On images of FOX Sports is to see Robben walking by while calling. It is not clear from the video of only eighteen seconds whether the routinier is on his way to the training field or to the stadium of the Pride of the North. Robben seemed to be falling out against PSV with hamstring problems. Trainer Danny Buijs, however, later emphasized that the outdoor player had been felled by a groin injury.

The disappointed Robben left the stadium immediately after his unfortunate retreat. The remnant of the Eredivisie-opener against PSV has not seen the former Dutch international. “I didn’t speak to him again, he went home disappointed”, Buijs told afterwards to FOX Sports. The Groningen trainer also does not yet know how long Robben is out of rotation. “I don’t know. I can’t say anything about that. I haven’t spoken to him yet. In general, you know, if it’s like this, it’s the wrong thing.”

Are these seriously the last images of Arjen Robben (36) as a professional footballer… ??
