Jens Toornstra will not be present during the match between Feyenoord and Ajax next week. The midfielder took two yellow cards in the game with ADO Den Haag (3-2 defeat) and was already suspended for De Klassieker by the first picture. Emile Schelvis and Jan van Halst say in the program Rondo from Ziggo Sport that Toornstra deliberately took a yellow card, so that he would miss the duel with Ajax.

“I am very curious what will happen next week at Feyenoord – Ajax. Jens Toorntra deliberately takes a yellow card and later red, Berghuis is not there ”, says Schelvis in the talk show. “Are you really saying that Toornstra picked up a yellow card on purpose because he is afraid to play against Ajax? Isn’t that a great game to play? ”, Table mate Youri Mulder reacts surprised to Schelvis’ statement.

“Not scared, but also frustrated. Frustration is on all sides. You saw it right? That shows how deep it is within that club and team ”, Schelvis continues. “If that is the case, it is very serious,” says Mulder. “A supportive player, who always tries his best stinky. I can’t imagine he’s afraid to play such a match. That he would rather not play football. You want to play football, don’t you? ”

“It is so clear. Apparently that frustration is allowed, as Berghuis kicked someone down for the third time. Yes, that is frustration. I don’t understand anything about that, it is kind of justified ”, Jan van Halst says. Steven Berghuis received a red card in the game against Vitesse (0-0) last week and was suspended for two games, so that he, like Toornstra, is missing from De Klassieker.

Ruud Gullit is looking for an explanation for the frustrations of Berghuis: “If you play with good players around you at the Dutch national team and you feel how good that goes, while at your own club it is difficult and slow … Well, there it is. he does not favor the player. We’re talking about where that frustration comes from. ”
