Marcus Rashford got into a fight with a Manchester United supporter ahead of Wednesday evening's home game against Newcastle United. Christian Eriksen was involved during the warm-up to calm the attacker down.

A visitor at Old Trafford shouts a few things towards Rashford, although it is not clear what exactly is said. The 26-year-old attacker was clearly not pleased with this action and clearly showed this to the supporter the Red Devils.

Images circulating on X show Rashford walking towards the fan in question to seek redress. The England international then bites the person, before turning around with an angry face. A steward urged the caller to take it easy.

Another Manchester United supporter immediately jumped into the breach for the indignant Rashford. “Leave him alone! Rashford, don't listen to him!”, is what sounds from the stands.

Other footage shows Eriksen grabbing the angry Rashford by the arm during the warm-up. Manager Erik ten Hag also chose to put the wing attacker on the bench for Newcastle's visit to Old Trafford.

Troubled season

There have been doubts about Rashford's future for some time. The boy from the club does not always have a starting place under Ten Hag and has been in the news several times this season due to incidents off the field. Rashford is contracted to Manchester United until mid-2028.
