Ajax’s goalkeeper problems seem to be getting bigger and bigger. André Onana shows a video on his Instagram Stories on Monday showing that his right foot is bandaged. The Ajax goalkeeper makes a calm impression on the images, but it seems that he did not emerge unscathed from Sunday’s away match against Go Ahead Eagles (2-1 defeat). Ajax has not yet released anything official about a possible injury of Onana.

The club from Amsterdam released the news earlier this Monday that Remko Pasveer has been out of circulation for at least eight weeks. In addition, trainer Erik ten Hag cannot rely on Jay Gorter for at least two weeks. Maarten Stekelenburg, the other Ajax reserve goalkeeper, is not ready to play for the time being due to hip surgery. A possible injury to Onana would be very bad for Ajax in view of the busy schedule.

Pasveer and Gorter were both injured last Wednesday in the warm-up of the Champions League match with Benfica. Pasveer was still able to play in the game in the eighth finals, but he was not fit in time for the away game against Go Ahead Eagles. Onana was under the bar in Deventer, with Young Ajax goalkeeper Calvin Raatsie on the reserve bench as backup.
