FC Dordrecht and FC Eindhoven are already ready after the first round of the TOTO KNVB Cup. The clubs from the Kitchen Champion Division were shown on Tuesday evening by SV Spakenburg and DVS’33 Ermelo respectively. At the same time, a B-team of Roda JC Kerkrade put FC Den Bosch aside with great difficulty, while MVV Maastricht was not surprised by ACV Assen.

SV Spakenburg – FC Dordrecht 3-0
Michele Santoni’s team has been waiting for a victory in the Kitchen Champion Division for more than two months and on Tuesday it also went completely wrong in Spakenburg. After three minutes it was already 1-0 thanks to a goal from Ravelino Junte. In the last five minutes of the first half, a changed shot by Yannick Zeeman and a dry effort by Frank Schilder after a corner made it 2-0 and the 3-0. The visitors had frequent possession in the second half, but failed to become dangerous and to make the cup match somewhat exciting.

DVS ’33 Ermelo – FC Eindhoven 2-1
The current number six of the Derde Divisie on Saturday had one chance and it was right on target. A high ball ended up at Benjamin Roemeon, who checked the ball and pushed low past Nigel Bertrams: 1-0. The Eindhoven visitors did not know an answer and two minutes after the break even received another one. Once again, it was Roemeon who wormed his way past the hostile defense and sent the home crowd into ecstasy for the second time that evening. A stunt was in the works and instead of Rob Penders’ squad becoming even more dangerous, celebrated man Roemeon even came close to a third goal. However, it failed to materialize. Deep in extra time, Jasper Dahlhaus still determined the final score.

ACV Assen – MVV Maastricht 0-3
Not long after the smoke from the supporters’ fireworks had lifted, fireworks also appeared on the field. MVV striker Mart Remans had the ball in it twice after nineteen minutes: the first he curled nicely in the far corner, the second surprised keeper Enver Spijodic in the short corner. The debuting closing post Romain Matthys had to intervene a few times on offensives by the Assenaren before Sven Blummel missed a big chance to make it 0-3. The victory of the team from Maastricht was not really in danger in the remainder of the match and Remans completed his hat-trick in injury time. It was MVV’s first cup win since 2014.

Roda JC Kerkrade – FC Den Bosch 2-1
Jurgen Streppel sent a B-team into the field against Den Bosch. No fewer than eight permanent staff were given a break, but the second choice was far from convincing in the first half. Roda played terrible football and fell behind after 38 minutes when Roy Kuijpers snuck away from his opponent and extended a free kick: 0-1. After less than an hour of play, Roda still equalized. Daryl Werker’s header hit the bottom of the crossbar, after which debut Dailon Livramento worked the ball into the goal: 1-1. Streppel sent a few permanent forces within the lines and thus an extension was also prevented. Substitute Dylan Vente works in a tight cross from Xian Emmers in the last minute.

Cossack Boys – Telstar 1-2
The head was off in the 23rd minute. Glynor Plet was hindered on the way to the goal by Kozak Boys closing post Ricardo Kieboom and scored the penalty himself: 0-1. The home team didn’t really come in handy while the White Lions kept looking for the attack. All the balls went to Plet, but the two chances it produced were both turned by Kieboom. The visitors from Velsen thought 0-1 was enough, before substitute Sven van Ingen shot the equalizer against the ropes in injury time after a blunder by goalkeeper Trevor Doornbusch. Ozan Kökçu still hit the bar, but it was Tom Overtoom who eventually shattered the home team’s hopes.
