Ajax has released a price of 'less than one million euros' on Julian Rijkhoff. The offer has already been rejected by Borussia Dortmund, it is known BILD to report on Monday. The German superpower wants to receive a large amount for the only eighteen-year-old striker, who is fixed in Dortmund until mid-2026.

Mike Verweij van The Telegraph reported last week that Ajax had made a bid of one million euros for Rijkhoff, which was rejected by Dortmund. The Amsterdam team is looking for a successor for Georges Mikautadze, who has returned to FC Metz.

Rijkhoff himself would have set his sights on returning to Amsterdam, the morning newspaper knew. to report last week. Due to the lack of prospects, the attacker left Ajax in the winter of 2021.

However, the youngster, who was considered a top talent during his time in Amsterdam, has not yet been given a chance in the main squad at Dortmund. And so a reunion between Rijkhoff and Ajax beckons, although nothing is concrete yet.

It is currently unknown whether Ajax will make a second offer in Dortmund in the short term. In any case, there is sufficient movement in this transfer period around Rijkhoff, who would also be followed by scouts from Barcelona.

Rijkhoff reportedly has a contract ready for four or five seasons at Ajax. The young striker has scored eleven goals in fourteen games for Dortmund Under 19 so far this season. However, the prospect of playing time in the main squad seems slim.

Rijkhoff was known in Ajax's youth academy as a great talent. However, there was disagreement about the path to be followed, which led the attack leader to opt for a multi-year contract in Dortmund in 2021. Rijkhoff was top scorer twice in a row in the German Under 19 team and one of the stars in the UEFA Youth League.

Last summer, Ajax was also linked with bringing back his former pupil. The Amsterdammers are said to regret the earlier sale of Rijkhoff, but were unable to reach an agreement with Dortmund.
