Ajax is interested in the talents Williot Swedberg and Hugo Larsson. That reports the Swedish medium Photoballdirekt. Eighteen-year-old Larsson is currently under contract with Malmö FF, while Swedberg left Sweden in the summer of 2022 for a transfer to Celta de Vigo. The nineteen-year-old midfielder was also associated with PSV a year ago.

Larsson is already a regular at Malmö FF at a young age. He has so far played 53 official matches at the Swedish top club, in which he was good for one goal and three assists. A move to AFC Bournemouth was rejected by Larsson in January. According to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, the simple international can count on the interest of several European top clubs.

Swedberg is currently under contract with Celta de Vigo, where he hardly played in his first season. The youngster did not get further than a total of 129 minutes of play during six raids. Last summer, as a big promise, he made the switch from Hammarby IF to Celta for 5.5 million euros. Swedberg is said to cost five to six million euros.

Ajax’s interest in Swedberg is not new. The Swedish Sports Expresses reported in May last year that the midfielder would have been on the radar of the team from Amsterdam for quite some time when he was still under contract with Hammarby. PSV also had him in their sights at that time. Technical manager Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink would have been in the stands at the time to see the talent at work up close.
