Ajax has conquered the national title for the 35th time in club history. Erik ten Hag’s team only had a point against FC Emmen on Sunday, but achieved a 4-0 victory thanks to goals from Jurriën Timber, Sébastien Haller, Devyne Rensch and Davy Klaassen. With three matches to go Ajax can no longer be traced by PSV. The club thus qualifies again for the group stage of the Champions League. Earlier this season Ajax also took the TOTO KNVB Cup.
Ajax led 1-0 in the first half, but was not sovereign. Especially in the end of the first half, Emmen bit away.
