Ajax sees a future in Ar’jany Martha. The upcoming Eredivisie champion will announce through official channels on Thursday that the seventeen-year-old right winger has signed a new contract. Martha is therefore fixed until the summer of 2024. His previous contract expired in mid-2022.

After a period of four years in the youth academy of Sparta Rotterdam, Martha made the switch to Ajax in the summer of 2019. He made his debut in professional football at the start of this season, on August 30, 2020. Martha then had a starting place in the match between Young Ajax and Roda JC Kerkrade (0-4 defeat). Since then, he has played 26 games for the U21s in the Kitchen Champion Division, 14 of which as a basic player.

Martha scored three goals this season. The left leg made his first goal on December 11 in the game with De Graafschap (2-2) and also scored against Telstar in the following round (1-2 defeat). Then Martha was dry until the match against MVV Maastricht (4-3 victory) on March 19. Last Friday, he came within the lines at the start of the second half in the lost game with NEC (0-1). Young Ajax will visit Almere City FC on Friday evening.
