Ajax and Huddersfield Town are having serious talks about a Carel Eiting rental period, says Football Insider Wednesday. According to the English football website, Eiting has been told by Ajax’s club management that he may look for a new club on a rental basis in the final weeks of the transfer market. Huddersfield would like to capture the midfielder for one season, according to reports.

Eiting doesn’t have to count on a lot of playing time at Ajax. The 22-year-old youth exponent came into action six times last season in the Eredivisie, three times as a substitute. Sunday, he stayed on the bench for ninety minutes during the season’s overture against Sparta Rotterdam (0-1 victory). The Ajax 22-year-oldas he through Football Insider has a contract until mid 2022 in the Johan Cruijff ArenA.

Saturday, clubwatcher Mike Verweij of The Telegraph that Ajax was actively trying to get rid of Eiting and that the midfielder’s preference was for an adventure abroad. “About the whole Eredivisie called, but he’d rather go abroad. That’s his preference now, with the possibility that he may decide to stay in the Eredivisie before the end of the transfer market,” said Verweij.

Huddersfield Town comes out in the Championship. The Terriers played at the highest level in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons, but then relegated as the fencer. In the Championship Huddersfield did not do much better last season with an eighteenth place. The club started the new season Saturday with a 0-1 defeat against Norwich City.
