ADO Den Haag has David Philipp at its disposal this season. The Hofstedelingen will report through official channels on Monday morning about the arrival of the attacking midfielder, who can also act as a winger. Twenty-year-old Philipp will come over from Werder Bremen, who will rent him to ADO for the next two seasons. The Eredivisionist has the option of taking over Philipp permanently, while Werder also has a right to buy him back.

Philipp has been playing with Werder since he was fourteen. The German youth international did not yet make its debut in the main force of Davy Klaassen’s employer and last season he played for Werder Bremen II in the Regionalliga Nord, the fourth level of Germany. In eighteen games he was good for seven goals and four assists. In the season 2018/19 he was able to present even more impressive statistics on behalf of the Under-19 with twenty goals and twenty assists.

“As a club we are very excited that we are allowed to further develop one of the most talented players of a club like Werder. It is a win-win situation for both clubs. David is young, talented and ambitious. He is an attacking player with scoring ability, who is able to perform in several positions”, Martin Jol, the head of the Technical Heart of ADO, responds to the arrival of Philipp.

Philipp himself is looking forward to his new adventure: “It feels good to join this club with a great tradition. I have been with Werder for a long time and I am proud that ADO Den Haag gives me the opportunity to act on the stage of the Eredivisie. I look forward to seeing the fans. I’m an all-round attacker, who really loves football and always has an eye for the goal. I want to create opportunities and be productive for the team. I especially want to distinguish myself in The Hague with my goal orientation and my kicking technique”.

Philipp is ADO’s next acquisition, which in recent months has welcomed Luuk Koopmans, Amar Catic, Kees de Boer, Ricardo Kishna, Peet Bijen, Jonas Arweiler, Andrei Ratiu, Boy Kemper, Samy Bourard and Dante Rigo, among others. The first Eredivisie game led by new coach Aleksandar Rankovic did lose 2-0 against Heracles Almelo on Sunday.
