AC Milan suffered a painful defeat on Monday evening in Serie A. On a visit to Lazio, the team of trainer Stefano Pioli already faced a 1-0 deficit halfway through, which was further expanded by the Romans after the break: 3-0. Earlier in the evening, Napoli did excellent business in the battle for Champions League tickets by booking a 0-2 win on a visit to Torino. Milan drops to fifth place in the rankings due to the defeat, while the Neapolitans move up to third position. Juventus has a less favorable goal difference than Napoli but with a better mutual result than the Milanese fourth. Lazio completes the top six in Italy with five points and one game less than the three aforementioned clubs, which have 66 points.
Lazio – AC Milan 3-0
The visitors seemed to get off to a good start, when Hakan Çalhanoglu fired on the enemy goal after twenty seconds, but saw goalkeeper Pepe Reina save. Lazio’s first attack did result in an immediate hit. Ciro Immobile gave an excellent deep pass to Joaquín Correa from the outside on the right, who outplayed Reina and finished in the short corner: 1-0. The Argentinian came close to a new goal twice in the six minutes that followed, but goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stood in the way of another goal.
After half an hour of play, Milan once again made a serious contribution through Çalhanoglu, but it was again Reina who kept the midfielder from scoring. On the other side, Manuel Lazzari was not happy, as he seemed to put Lazio at 2-0 but was called back for offside. Six minutes after the break, the lead was still doubled. Correa was sent into the depth by Luis Alberto, after which the maker of the opening goal Fikayo Tomori simply played it out and also scored the 2-0. A few minutes before the final signal, the game was definitively thrown in by Immobile, who hit goal after a pass from Lazzari in the far corner: 3-0.

Torino – Napoli 0-2
There was a lot at stake for both teams as Torino needed the points to walk away from the relegation streak and Napoli to take third place. The score was opened by Tiémoué Bakayoko, who found the bottom left corner with a nice swipe from outside the sixteen-meter area: 0-1. Victor Osimhen put the 0-2 on the scoreboard 120 seconds later. Nicolas N’Koulou suffered a sloppy loss of possession in the center circle, after which Osimhen quickly ran off with the ball. Face to face with goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu, the Nigerian then remained icy calm and shot into the short corner. Although Torino bravely continued to resist and regularly hand out pinpricks, but the connection goal was no longer found. Piotr Zielinski was able to determine the final score at 0-3 but hit the bar with his bet.
