Paul Simonis has announced the line-up of Go Ahead Eagles. The coach has no surprises in store for the first leg in the second preliminary round of the Conference League against SK Brann. The match in the Adelaarshorst starts at 18:30 and can be seen on Ziggo Sport.

Jeffrey de Lange defends the goal of Go Ahead. The goalie sees four defenders in front of him with Mats Deijl, Jamal Amofa, Joris Kramer and Dean James.

The midfield is formed by Evert Linthorst, Enric Llansana and Bobby Adekanye, while the forward line consists of Tengstedt, Jakob Breum and Victor Edvardsen. Tengstedt struggled with minor hamstring problems during this preparation and is therefore unable to play a full match.

Mathis Suray, Oliver Edvardsen, Julius Dirksen, Gerrit Nauber and Pim Saathof are not fit and will have to miss the match. In addition, Thibo Baeten is also not there due to private circumstances.

Despite the fact that Go Ahead will be battered against the Norwegians, Simonis is confident of a good outcome. He bases this on the 1-2 practice win over KRC Genk. “I saw a team on the field that worked together and made it incredibly difficult for Genk. They were able to stick to the agreements, even in the eightieth minute.”

Brann coach Eirik Horneland knows that his team is in the middle of the competition, while Gp Ahead is only playing its first official match of the season against Brann. “I do think that they have prepared well for this match and it seems that they have done a good job to get here. They are a strong team and they did well in the play-offs”, the coach praised Go Ahead.

Go Ahead Eagles line-up: The long; Deijl, Amofa, Kramer, James; Linthorst, Llansana, Adekanye, Tengstedt, Breum, V. Edvardsen.

SK Brann line-up: Dyngeland; Crone, Knudsen, Kristiansen, Soltvedt; Kornvig, Pedersen, Kartum S; Castro, Heggebo, Warming.
