Heracles Almelo will have Juho Talvitie at its disposal next season. The nineteen-year-old Finn is being rented from Lommel SK, which is part of the City Football Group. Heracles has not negotiated an option to purchase.

“Juho is a left-footed right winger,” technical director Nico-Jan Hoogma describes the latest acquisition. “He is fast, technical and strong in one-on-one situations. He also has a lot of running ability.”

Talvitie is a two-time international for Finland. On 4 June last he made his debut against Portugal, who were then in full preparation for the European Championship. Talvitie, who played on the right wing, played ninety minutes. A few days later Talvitie played 22 minutes in the friendly against Scotland.

Talvitie comes from the youth of Tampereen Ilves, the club from his hometown Tampere. The left-footer made the switch to Lommel SK in the summer of 2021, for which he has played 59 times to date. He has scored seven goals and provided three assists.

Talvitie is already the seventh summer acquisition for Heracles. The Almeloers managed to strengthen themselves earlier with Jan Zamburek, who came over from Viborg FF for four hundred thousand. In addition, Damon Mirani and Robin Mantel were transferred on a free transfer from FC Volendam and Helmond Sport respectively.

Heracles also did business with the Italian Pescara. Both Ivan Mesik and Lorenzo Milani came from the Serie C. Finally, Mimeirhel Benita was taken over on loan from Feyenoord.

Before Heracles opens its Eredivisie season on August 11 against Sparta Rotterdam, the team will practice against Preussen Munster, Excelsior, Umm Salal and FC Groningen.
