Latest update:

The line-up with which Ajax will fight Olympiakos Piraeus is known. Francesco Farioli hands out starting places to Dies Janse, Jaydon Banel and Kian Fitz-Jim, among others, while Ahmetcan Kaplan and Kristian Hlynsson sit on the bench.

For Ajax, the match against Olympiakos is the last test in the run-up to the preliminary rounds of the Europa League. On 25 July and 1 August, the Amsterdammers will face FK Vojvodina.

Logically, Friday afternoon's line-up will reveal some things about the starting eleven against the Serbian opponent. Francesco Farioli seems to have confidence in the necessary talents.

Remko Pasveer defends the Amsterdam goal against Olympiakos. In the line in front of him, from right to left, are Devyne Rensch, Josip Sutalo, Janse and Owen Wijndal.

In midfield there is room for Jordan Henderson, Kenneth Taylor and Kian Fitz-Jim. The latter was used as a hanging left winger earlier in the preparation, but seems to play 'just' from the midfield on Friday.

Up front, there are starting places for Carlos Forbs, Chuba Akpom and Banel. In addition, Ajax has brought five substitutes: Charlie Setford, Kaplan, Benjamin Tahirovic, Hlynsson and Precious Ugwu.

The players who played against Al-Wasl (2-1 win) from the United Arab Emirates on Thursday will not be part of the selection on Friday. Ajax and Olympiakos kick off at 15:00.

Ajax line-up: feather key; Rensch, Sutalo, Janse, Wijndal; Henderson, Taylor, Fitz-Jim; Banel, Akpom, Forbs.
