Jeffrey de Lange, goalkeeper of Go Ahead Eagles, denies that he had a conversation at Ajax. The 26-year-old goalkeeper from Amstelveen says he is fully focused on Go Ahead Eagles, which will soon start the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Conference League.

Recently brought Football International that Ajax is considering De Lange as a stand-in for Diant Ramaj next season. The 1.90 meter tall goalie will come into the picture when Géronimo Rulli leaves, which is internally assumed in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. However, Go Ahead Eagles, De Lange's club, must then be willing to cooperate in a transfer to the record champion.

De Lange is still on contract for two years at De Adelaarshorst, where he had a top season individually and collectively. De Lange regularly distinguished himself with beautiful reflexes and managed to achieve European football with his team.

The question is whether he is prepared to exchange that for a reserve role in Amsterdam, the place where he enjoyed eleven years of his youth training. De Lange played at De Toekomst between 2006 and 2017, before seeking his fortune in the east, at FC Twente.

De Lange denies this to The Stentor in any case, that he has been to Amsterdam for coffee several times. “I don't drink coffee,” he seemed to laugh off the question. “No, just kidding. I honestly haven't been there and I feel good at Go Ahead. Next week we're playing in Europe, isn't that fantastic?”

Go Ahead Eagles has already prepared for a possible departure of De Lange. Luca Plogmann must replace him in that case. “We have extended his contract and then he was loaned to FC Dordrecht. With that we have prepared for a possible departure of Jeffrey”, technical manager Paul Bosvelt indicated earlier.

Transfer market estimates De Lange's market value at 3 million euros. In the summer of 2022, the North Hollander came over on a free transfer from FC Twente. Since then, he has played 74 times for KowetDe Lange managed to keep his goal clean twenty times.
