The Dutch national team's line-up for the quarter-final against Turkey has been announced. National coach Ronald Koeman will not change his line-up compared to the 3-0 win over Romania. Steven Bergwijn is back in the starting line-up, despite Donyell Malen being expected to play there. The match in Berlin starts at 21:00 and can be seen on NPO 1.

Bart Verbruggen is in goal for the Dutch national team, which will field four defenders: Denzel Dumfries, Stefan de Vrij, Virgil van Dijk and Nathan Aké. Jerdy Schouten, Xavi Simons and Tijjani Reijnders will form the midfield. The attack will consist of Bergwijn, Memphis Depay and Cody Gakpo.

Malen convinced in the round of 16 against Romania, by scoring two of the three goals as a substitute. Koeman did not want to confirm at the press conference on Friday whether he would make any changes to his line-up. At the same time, he announced that Bergwijn is having problems with his patellar tendon, but the Ajax striker has recovered in time to start again.

The Dutch team managed to recover excellently from their extremely poor performance against Austria (2-3 loss) against the Romanians. Their self-confidence has increased, although Koeman is wary of Turkey. “This is a different opponent with different qualities”, the national team manager said at the press conference.

“They have played with four at the back, but also with five. Just like the Romanians, they show a lot of heart in how they play games. But we look at ourselves. It can be done with the team we played against the Romanians, but also with changes. We should not need a defeat to show how good we are again.''

“It has to come from yourself. We are playing in Berlin for a semi-final, a great opportunity to get even further in the tournament. But we are not going to win just like that, that is certainly not the case. It is going to be a very difficult match,” said Koeman.

Joey Veerman, Schouten, Dumfries and Malen are on edge and will be suspended for the possible semi-final if they receive a yellow card against Turkey. Turkey will be without Ismail Yüksek and Haarlem's Orkun Kökçü. The two midfielders received their second yellow card of the tournament in the round of 16 against Austria (1-2).

the Dutch line-up: Verbruggen; Dumfries, De Vrij, Van Dijk, Aké; Bergwijn, Memphis, Gakpo.
