Donny van de Beek is set to leave Manchester United for good after almost four years. According to the Spanish Relevo on his way to Girona, who are reportedly paying just €500,000 for him.

Transfer market estimates Van de Beek's current market value at five million euros, but Girona appear set to sign the attacking midfielder for just half a million.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the transfer fee could rise to four to five million euros based on the number of matches he plays for Girona next season. That amount could even be higher with other performances. Romano reports that Van de Beek will enter into negotiations with the Spaniards next week to reach a personal agreement.

Van de Beek is contracted to Old Trafford until mid-2025. The Red Devils paid 39 million euros in 2020 to sign the Dutchman.

Van de Beek was at a dead end at Manchester United, where he barely got any match minutes under manager Erik ten Hag. That's why he let himself be loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt last winter. Although that wasn't a success either. He didn't get any further than 357 minutes of play, divided over 8 matches.

The right-footer also had a disappointing loan period at Everton. In the shirt of Manchester United, the counter now seems to have stopped at 62 official matches. In those, the former Ajax player was good for 2 goals and as many assists.

Misehouy

Van de Beek is not the only Dutchman who is likely to move to Girona. Earlier on Saturday, Romano also reported that Gabriel Misehouy is transferring to Daley Blind's club on a free transfer. The top talent, who recently officially said goodbye to Ajax, has reached a verbal agreement and will sign a contract in Catalonia next week. According to Football International it concerns a five-year contract.
