Francesco Farioli has announced his first line-up as Ajax coach. The Amsterdammers will start their preparation for the new season on Friday afternoon at 2:00 PM with a practice match against PEC Zwolle.

The Italian coach will not be able to use the Dutch internationals Brian Brobbey and Steven Bergwijn during Ajax's first practice match, while the already eliminated Croatians Josip Sutalo and Borna Sosa are still enjoying their holidays. Finally, Ahmetcan Kaplan is still active with Turkey at the European Championship in Germany.

Farioli starts against PEC with Diant Ramaj in goal. The German goalkeeper grew last season, partly due to injuries of competitors, to first goalkeeper at Ajax and retains his starting place under the new trainer.

The defense is completed by Devyne Rensch, Jakov Medic, Dies Janse and Jorrel Hato. The latter will most likely start as left back.

In midfield, Jordan Henderson, Branco van den Boomen and Kenneth Taylor can count on a starting place. The forward line consists of Carlos Forbs, Chuba Akpom and Mika Godts.
